Suggestions: ~たらどうですか
Use Vたらどうですか to suggest an action and distinguish suggestions from advice, permission, and commands.
- ~たら conditional.
This gives you another collaborative option: 'How about trying X?' rather than issuing a command.
1. Literally: if you did X, how would it be?
Vたらどうですか functions as a suggestion.
2. Offer options rather than orders
Study the examples and identify the structural pattern before relying on the English translation.
