1. と marks who you act with

When と follows a person/group in an action sentence, it often means with.

I speak with Tanaka. 田中さんと話します。 たなかさん と はなします。

Natural: I speak with Tanaka.

Structure: Tanaka — with — speak.

I work with the team. チームと働きます。 チーム と はたらきます。

Natural: I work with the team.
