Learn the compact navigation, stacked workbenches, touch controls, and how the Side by Side Reader stacks its Japanese pane below the source on narrow phone ratios.

Build timed recall for thoughts, everyday language, and professional situations.
Read curated bilingual material or import an Anki deck as a synchronized front/back reading book.
Compare supported English or Spanish web content with Japanese in Kanji, Furigana, Kana, or Rōmaji.
Compile and debug Japanese using software-development metaphors.
Use short drills when hiragana or katakana recognition needs reinforcement.
Catch the matching reading with arrow keys or touch while practicing complete internal-monologue phrases.
From Kotoba Fishing or Japanese Adaptive Recall, choose Import Anki / phrase file. Manabi inspects the file, lets you map Japanese, reading, rōmaji, meaning, and category fields, then shares the normalized phrases with both tools in this browser.
Use Manage imported decks at any time to remove one deck or all imported content. Removing a deck never deletes the built-in Manabi library. Study history is kept by default; select the history option only when you also want Adaptive Recall progress for those imported phrases removed.
Read the thought at the top, identify the highlighted target, then use ↑ ↓ ← → or tap the matching answer around the boat. Switch Japanese ↔ rōmaji modes from the top controls. A missed phrase returns at the end of the round until you complete a clean pass.
View Report shows practiced phrases, wrong captures, repeated failures, response time, and the items that were hardest to recognize. When your browser offers installation from the Fishing page, it installs Kotoba Fishing as its own PWA.
Open Kotoba Fishing →In Tsundoku, choose Import Anki deck as book, then map the field that should appear as the card front on the left and the field that should appear as the back on the right. If an .apkg contains multiple Anki decks, each deck becomes its own book.
Imported books use the same synchronized scrolling reader. Japanese fronts can still be viewed with Furigana, Kana, or Rōmaji. Imported Anki books are saved only in this browser.
Select an imported Anki book and use Delete selected Anki book to remove it later. Published Manabi readings are never deleted.
